About the Inn

Located in the quaint village of Rocheport, Missouri, the School House Bed and Breakfast Inn provides premium accommodations in a restored historic 1914 building that served as Rocheport’s public school from 1914 to 1972. Today, the Inn provides ten elegantly appointed guest rooms on three levels. The guest rooms on the first and second floors, created from the four original classrooms, have 13-foot ceilings and large 8-foot schoolhouse windows. The two guest rooms on the third floor, the former attic level, feature gables and dormers with ceiling skylights.

Known for its romantic atmosphere, the Inn is the perfect retreat setting for couples celebrating special occasions or just celebrating togetherness, away from their hectic daily lives. All guest rooms have private baths and four of our premium rooms feature jetted tubs for two.

Just two blocks from the Katy Trail State Park and the Missouri River, the Inn is a great ‘home-base’ for enjoying the cycling, hiking, canoeing and birdwatching.

Conveniently located midway between St. Louis and Kansas City, the Inn also meets the needs of business groups seeking a central venue for weekday management retreats or family and friends reunions.
